Remember when Trillanes files libel cast against Blogger Thinking Pinoy?

Popular social media personality Thinking Pinoy or RJ Nieto who made a name for himself in social media for his fearless commentaries again. He calls trillanes an idiot. "The Philippine Idiot" who funded the case using public funds.

The controversial PhilStar article reported that Sen. Trillanes was allegedly being dubbed by US President Donald Trump as "little narco," but the article was unpublished a few hours after it was posted online.

Trillanes said “This should serve as a warning for Mr. Nieto and other Pro-Pres bloggers to stop peddling lies, as part of their propaganda. Their activities reflect the kind of administration that they support. Sooner or later, they will all be accountable for their actions.”

Nieto, an avid supporter of PDR was employed by Foreign Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano as consultant at the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Due to the virality of the said PhilStar article which was also shared by Thinking Pinoy to his more than 1 million followers, it caught the attention of Sen. Trillanes who threatened to sue the blogger for his reactions to the article.

How Idiot is Trillanes? Rebellion and Libel Case

Way back 2018, This "Philippine Idiot" Senator Antonio Trillanes IV was tried in Makati City court as an ongoing case of “rebellion charges”.

Trillanes is an outspoken opponent of Filipino President, who has been criticised for a campaign against drug criminals since his inauguration in 2016. Previously, Trillanes had been detained for a failed coup d’état attempt in 2007, for which he was granted amnesty in 2011 under former President Benigno Aquino III.

Some people reopened the case in 2016 by issuing a proclamation that voided this provision by exploiting Trillanes’ admission of guilt and alleged failure to comply fully with the amnesty application. Mr Trillanes was issued a warrant for arrest last week.

In the likely event that Trillanes will plead guilty and face imprisonment, expect civil society groups to protest with caution.

The current administration’s defeat will further consolidate its power because it will be putting an end to a decade-old conflict that contested it.

The dispute over his current arrest demonstrates tension between the Department of Justice agenda to silence powerful opposition and will likely further bring down his diminishing popularity amidst criticism for his failure to tackle increasing inflation and prices on basic goods.

Antonio Trillanes' obsession with the President and his family needs to be stopped as it is already interfering with the vital work of the senate. The whole nation is now being held hostage by one man's megalomaniacal delusions. Trillanes is a menace to society.

Sen. Richard Gordon has said that he will file a complaint against Trillanes before the Senate Ethics Committee and move for his expulsion. We now urge the good Senator to make good on his threat, and do the entire nation a public service by removing Trillanes from the Senate in the same manner he left the Armed Forces of the Philippines- in utter disgrace.
